WHAT LEGAL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BECOME A REAL ESTATE SALESPERSON IN THE STATE OF MISSOURI?

The state of Missouri requires that any person who for a compensation or valuable consideration does or attempts to sell, lease, exchange, etc. the real estate of others must hold a proper real estate license by the State of Missouri.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME LICENSED IN THE STATE?

The State requires that an applicant for a real estate sales license in the State of Missouri complete a minimum of 72 hours of pre-license instruction  in a school  accredited by the Missouri Real Estate Commission and that upon accreditation from such a school take and pass a written examination to demonstrate, to the commission, their competency to perform in the capacity as a real estate salesperson.

1. Select the Real Estate school you wish to attend. There are several in the Springfield area to choose from.

2. Study for your examination.

             Read and review all the material in the texts. Pay particular attention to     the key terms.

3. Receipt of Passing Grade.

             If passing, you are ready to make application for your license.

 

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:              1. At least 18 years of age

                                                                  2. 72 hours of school
